Scott Biram took his self proclaimed ‘Dirty Old One Man Band’ to Buffalo’s Town Ballroom this past weekend. The ballroom is a classic venue which offers three levels of viewing, whether you want to watch from above or up close and personal, there wasn’t a bad spot in the house.
Tearing through the opening set, Biram’s manic blues buzzsaw guitar, foot stomping beat and primal scream quickly shook the room. With an arsenal of guitars, from old round top Gibson hollow bodies to heavy metal electric, Biram’s signature style was turned up to eleven. With his fiery take no prisoner, i’ll kick your ass attitude and stage banter, if you can make it out, is always entertaining. Being on tour with heavy metal band Texas Hippie Coalition seemed to have rubbed off on Biram who adopted more of a heavy metal growl throughout the set.
Scott mentioned he recently finished his new record, the follow up to 2014’s Nothin’ But Blood, that will probably be released at the end of the year, or early next on Bloodshot records. If you haven’t caught him live, check out if he’s coming to your town.
