Thousands of artists, fans, and industry professionals flocked to Nashville for The 8th annual AmericanaFEST, put on by the Americana Music Association.
AmericanaFEST featured over 230 live performances at almost 40 of Nashville’s most prominent venues centered around the The Americana Honors & Awards Show, which was held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The awards saw John Prine take home Artist of the Year, Rodney Crowell won Song of the Year for “It Ain’t Over Yet” (feat. Rosanne Cash & John Paul White), Album of the Year went to Sturgill Simpson’s for A Sailor’s Guide to Earth and Lifetime Achievement Awards to Van Morrison, Iris DeMent and Robert Cray, among others.
