TJ West: Little Lonely Video Premiere: “Interstate Hum”

By Kim Grant

Little Lonely (aka Julie Cain) is a Missouri-born, Los Angeles based musician. Little Lonely’s self-titled debut album out now, was produced by Sean Hoffman (American Music Club, Linda Perhacs) and features accomplished musicians Greg Eklund (Everclear, The Oohlas), Eric Heywood (The Pretenders, Son Volt), Heather McIntosh (Norah Jones, Gnarls Barkley) and George Sluppick (Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Mofro).  The result is a perfect blend of folk, indie-rock and Americana music.  Little Lonely’s raspy haunting twang conjures an alternate universe where Chan Marshall and Julee Cruise might hang together at a lost roadside honky tonk smoking cigarettes and playing sad country songs on the jukebox.  Little Lonely crafts her own music videos with a close circle of visual and musical artists/collaborators.

TJ has an exclusive premiere of Little Lonely’s video for the song “Interstate Hum.”

Little Lonely will be playing a fundraiser benefit “Team For Kids” at MorYork gallery in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Highland Park on Saturday, March 29th.

Noon-4pm  4959 York Boulevard 90042
